When does it stop??

When does the let down pain stop hurting??? My daughter will be 4 weeks on Monday and oh my gosh it hurts so bad I curse and grit my teeth and bite my lip until it bleeds.

Electric pain sounds more like thrush than let down. Let down shouldn't be so bad you are writhing in pain (at most it's like a prickly pins and needles feeing). When I had thrush literally the only symptom was excruciating shooting pain in my breast. during/after nursing. Baby didn't get any symptoms and never required treatment and I didn't get the 'typical' nipple pain. My doc followed this http://www.breastfeedinginc.ca/content.php?pagename=doc-Fluc protocol and the pain cleared up in a week, and the infection didn't come back after I finished the two week prescription. I'd go to the doctor if I were you, share your symptoms and suspicions. Breastfeeding shouldn't ever hurt so bad you want to scream and swear. Something isn't right! Good luck!

Is it in the nipple? Or whole breast? My nipples hurt until about 4 weeks, then I had nipple vasospasm after that (about 20 mins after a feed), but if it is shooting pains throughout the breast it could be nipple/breast thrush?
