Baby feeds self?

So our ped gave the OK to start LO on solids so we did, but our daughter grabs our hand & shoves the spoon in her mouth! Lol now she has started grabbing the spoon and feeding herself! Is that normal at her age? Shes 19 weeks.

One of the "checklist" questions my pediatrician asked at our 4-month appointment was if my son had begun trying to steal the bottle and feed himself, so I think that's a normal, healthy progression.
