Back pain prior to becoming pregnant.
I've read a lot of posts, articles and heard things from family and my Dr in regards to back pain while pregnant. I understand the upcoming changes to the pelvic bones and back in the weeks closer to delivery. My problem is I suffered from chronic back issues prior to becoming pregnant. There are many times in a month or year when I have "episodes". Episodes mean my back goes out and I'm unable to walk or move from a laying position for almost 1- 2 weeks. It has become increasingly worse with 4 episodes already and I'm only 19 weeks. So id like to know if there are other ladies that have this or a similar chronic back issues that went through labor & delivery. How did it go? Were you able to deal with the back pain during labor without meds? What other options did the hospital give you? The weeks leading up to delivery how did you handle the back pain? Anyone placed on bedrest? I'm a first time mom and don't know what to expect or how to handle that kind of pain. I'd like to see what some of you ladies have experienced. Thank you in advance for your stories and comments.
