How can i be on a diet & breastfeed?

I really need to lose weigh but I'm breastfeeding, what do you guys recommend?

Get what nutrients you and your baby need via healthy foods there is a difference between getting your calories through healthy eating and unhealthy breastfeeding also helps you lose weight so you should be all good xx

Breastfeeding helps you lose weight faster, so wish i was able to breastfeed so this weight would shift, so unhappy with my postpartum body😭

I'm in the same boat..have gained weight breastfeeding too and want to diet. I did read that after 3 months we can go on a less restrictive diet..between 1500-1800 calories. I started trying to make healthier choices but I admit it has been a challenge! I feel like my sweet tooth is worse now than when I was pregnant!

Cut out the junk and only eat proper healthy food, vegetables, fruits, lean meats and plenty of water. Breastfeeding didn't seem to help me lose the weight at all but that was probably due to me eating all around me as breastfeeding made me ravenous! Best thing I ever did was cut out sugar, gluten and dairy. Got myself an exercise bike and used it for on hour every day. The weight fell off!

I eat rubbish constantly but still breastfeeding at 6months and I weigh half a stone less than I did before I was pregnant!!! Breastfeeding has shifted the weight for me!! As long as your eating enough to keep yourself and your baby healthy then eating healthy foods shouldn't be a problem!! Also you tend to be a lot more active with a baby than without so you may find lugging a baby, pram and baby bag around helps you lose weight too!! Just try and be safe and stay healthy for you and baby if your going to diet!! They say you need an extra 500 calories a day x
