Boppy pillows...

So I am not breast feeding; but I really want to get a boppy pillow for my baby. The reasons being, I'd like some thing to sit her in and that will sit her up until she is able to herself, for when I'm just laying in bed or on the couch with her reading, or doing homework (using my hands) and such.. So that I don't need to just lay her next to me, but still keep her close, rather than on the floor on a bouncy or on the swing.. you know? also to help with tummy time. My sisters son didn't have anything like that when he was born and she was always complaing that she wanted one too or one of those floor baby chairs because she either had to hold him, or put him in his swing or bouncy. My friend insists that getting one is pointless unless I'm breast feeding. I also see there pretty pricy so I want to make sure there worth getting for head reasons before I go and buy one! Does anyone else use/own a boppy pillow who doesn't breast feed, and for the same reasons I want one? How long was it used for these reasons?:
