Sex Work?

Former sex worker here. Did it for survival. Modeling and prostitution. Had a lot of shitty experiences but damn I learned a lot about how to be in charge business wise and the self confidence I developed is impressive. I am interested in what others think of the industry and seeing if anyone else has any experiences.

I fully support it. I think it should be legalized because then there would be standards put in place for the safety of sex workers and they would be protected by the law. It's an honest way to make a living.

I'm not comfortable with how often prostitutes/escorts are cycled through the county jail system; many are selling sex because they cannot survive without it (or love the money) or struggle with an addiction and it's yet again one of those awful endless cycles. I don't necessarily feel prostitution should be legal, but I do believe we should stop punishing women for trying to make a living or try to offer better resources to help the ones doing so to support an addictions a way to get clean. For those who do it to support an addiction or support their family, how will an arrest record help them get out?

I don't frown upon women who do it.
