Is the drop shot effective & I heard you gain weight and id be okay with that since I am so skinny I feel like but would it make u thicker ? Like in ur butt or boobs ? Or is it just not a good form of bc

I took it off and on for 14 yrs and I loved it. And the shot itself doesn't cause weight gain, it causes increased appetite. So as long as u control your increased appetite u should be fine. But if u want a few extra pounds then eat away. Lol I also eventually stopped having periods all together. It was awesome to never have to deal with Aunt Flows irritating ass. LOL.😅 good luck

I highly do not recommend the depo shot! I loved it at first because I didn't get a period, however it made me very angry all the time, I gained 38 pounds and not in good places. I was on it for 2 years before I gave up on it and when I did I found a whole mess of problems internally. I developed cysts on my ovaries, cervix and vagina canal and turned out to be cancerous. My doctor said my chances of getting pregnant are slim to none and a hysterectomy is on the table and I'm only 21. My periods were so odd when I got off of it as well. You can read all about it online and it's not a very good birth control, the risks outweigh the good.  Depending on your insurance the shots range from $20 to $200 however I paid $80 every 3 months and the shot is given in your upper arm or butt. As far as getting pregnant it does have a 90% rate however I'm not infernal because of it. I think you should stay clear from it:
