For those who have an IUD, how long did the process take to get it? As in, how many appointments did you have prior to it, and how long you had to wait for it to go through insurance.

My doctor is taking their sweet time and it's been a month since I put in a request for Skyla. It's stressing me out since I may need to wait until October for it and even then, I will be away at school :/ I was wondering if this was a normal thing and that getting a IUD wasn't a quick and easy thing.
