Anyone ever used Tramadol?

I was prescribed this for pain, has anyone else used it? Does it work? Does it make you sleepy?

I give it at work often & it is a narcotic and strong.  Everyone's different so hard to say what it will do for you.  It works well for most patients.  Depends on your history & whatnot.  Just make sure you're home the first time you take it to see how it effects you.

In was prescribed it...I would rather just deal with the pain! For me it did nothing. It makes you really energetic and then you feel drowsy. It didn't help with moderate pain

I have been taking it for 5 years now. At first it gave me a lot of energy and took my pain away now it just keeps my pain away. But it sometimes gives you headaches and taking a lot can cause ur heart to race and hard to sleep at night.

It makes you a little drowsy but not as bad as real pain meds and it's not nearly as addictive

We use it at the hospital often for patients with pain and it makes the majority of them sleepy. Sometimes we use it for sedative purpose if someone won't hold still enough on their own for an MRI we need, that'll make you drowsy enough to get through it. So yeah.

I think it depends on the person. It made me extremely sleepy. It works though!

I've taken it. It helps. Not a miracle worker though.
