tips for transitioning to crib?

Anyone have any tips to transition to the crib? We're currently co-sleeping but I want her to start sleeping in her crib. And no comments on co-sleeping; that's not what I'm asking about! 😊 thanks!

Having the same problem :( co-sleeping & trying to transition to crib.... We got the Magic Merlin and Zipadee-Zip to hopefully help. I think the hardest part is just DOING it lol. Every night I come up with an excuse not too. The earlier the better though.

I started with naps in the crib. Once she got the hang of that after a few days, I put her in the crib at night. We didn't cosleep though, and she was in her own room at 3 weeks, so your transition may need to be a little different than mine

I put an air mattress next to her crib for the first few nights and it made for an easier transition

My son slept in his crib for the first time last night. He is going through a growth spurt/sleep regression and we were just waking each other up all night so it definitely felt like the right time. We weren't co sleeping but he was in his pack n play next to our bed so we moved that into his room for the first night and then put him in his crib the second night. He needed a little extra soothing when he would wake up but did actually sleep better. We also hung black out drapes and used a sound machine. Hope that helps!
