When to have a gender reveal party?

So we just found out the gender, and I can't wait to tell everyone! But she would be a good time to have a gender reveal party? I'm not having a shower and I am telling my guests gifts are not required. I just want a fun party with all my friends and family. I am due February 10th. I would like to have nice weather and a BBQ style party, but not sure if September would be too soon. Thoughts?
