I can't use tampons?

Question

Ever since I started my period three years ago I have never been able to stick a tampon up my vagina. I have also tried using my fingers but that didn't work either. It hurst so bad to even try and put a tampon in. What is my problem? What can I do to fix it?

I had to use a mirror as I struggled for ages and pads are so inconvenient. I always relax but it's still uncomfortable to insert. Do you mean it hurts to insert it or have it in you? If it hurts after its in its probably because it isn't in far enough- you have to push it up much farther than you would think x

Tampons just aren't comfortable for me. I use pads.
