I think it is a wonderful and unique name, as I carry the name Ronnie, no it is not short for anything and people do tend to say to me it's a boys name but I just simply reply well I don't believe it is cos it's my name and a lot of people say it's unique and lovely

How about an alternate spelling like Roni? I think that was the name of a character on Frasier. Pretty unique. :)
