How Was Your First Trimester??

Question

My hubby and I are going traveling for 3-4 months and we want to start TTC while we're over in Europe backpacking. If we do fall preg early on and still have a couple months left of traveling, I could suffer from intense symptoms so I'm a bit nervous to "ruin" the trip (obviously I'll be soooo happy). How was everyones first trimester?? I know everyone's different but I've never really honestly asked anyone how it is for real. Could it be a bad idea to get preg mid travels? I don't wanna be throwing up 24/7 slash feel like crap!! I'd love to hear of others experiences :)

I was sooooo tired I slept like 10 hours at night then a nap and I was so sick I ended up in the hospital for dehydration. Id be hesitant..

Wait until your done your travels to ttc. Get off your birth control but use condoms for now. No one can predict what your first three months will be like. I was fine until after 6 weeks and then started getting sick, my boobs killed me and I was exhausted all the time! I had little to no appitite and I was really really hot! (The middle of a Canadian winter -30 Celsius dieing with the heat, couldn't even wear a coat)

I felt really awful starting at 6 weeks. But I have a good friend who had basically no symptoms at all. It's hard to say!

Well in all honestly you don't really know how long it'll take to conceive, there are people who've been ttc for years. Just don't stress about it, enjoy the sex and you'll be pregnant in no time. My first pregnancy was fine all the way until I gave birth, no symptoms whatsoever; this second one, I haven't really got any symptoms either except for tender breasts but it's not too bad. Baby dust to you!

Exhaustion and nausea could hinder your trip. And I say this seriously. It's debilitating.

Mine has been absolutely awful. Sick constantly, too tired to move, just completely drained. But everyone is different, so none of us can really tell you how you would feel 😕 if it were me, I would wait until traveling was over, have fun before you become an incoming mommy!

I would hold off ttc. I was miserable from week 6 to week 15! Almost constantly nauseous and SUPER  constipated (sorry tmi) I never had the energy to even clean let alone work I laid around my whole first trimester. Once I hit my second trimester then all the nausea and fatigue cleared up (the constipation did too) and I went back to work because I felt so good

Very tired I could literally sleep all day and wake up just to go to bed ,other than that a very easy 1st trimester besides the hormones lol

I'm 28 weeks and still waiting for the nausea to stop, there's really no way to know how you'll be. Everyone will tell you something different.
