He's 4 and I want him to understand. He doesn't get grossed out by any images and when the baby comes out he says " aww baby it's cute"

It makes me think about when my grandpa got taken off life support and my nephew was there. My sister said 'he needs to see death'. No he doesn't. You can understand something without being an active participant. And 'seeing' something doesn't mean they'll understand either.

My son is 4 and I give him updates on how his little brother is growing each week he's excited to hear it and see it therEs nothing wrong with that  😀

He more than likely won't even remember by the time he's like 13. When you are 4 years old, you see things MUCH differently. I could barely understand certain tv shows when i was that age, and I watched them again when I was older, and it was SO different from what I remember. It's best to show him these things when he can ACTUALLY understand exactly what's going on, and can properly store memories. Even if he seems like he understands right now, I can assure you that he doesn't.

Sure, if he's interested, as long as you're watching with him.

I'd find some that have doctors discussing medically what's going on (so not just a drama, but medically accurate).

Maybe put one on for yourself, and if he walks by and is interested, answer his questions. That way he won't feel like he has to stay if it gets scary, or he isn't interested.

I think the most important thing is to answers his questions. Nothing wrong with questions :)

I'd say it's your child you do what you want with him, If you want to teach him things this early it's your choice you don't need other people's approval xx
