My grandpa (day care provider) has shingles, and we found out that he has had it for a while. He has been complaining of back pain for a whole, and it turns out to be a shingles rash. How likely is my daughter to get chicken pox from this, and is there anything we can do to prevent it?  My grandpa is doing better now. He is on medication to help take care of it. It was on his back, but also spread to his brain (it was a very scary day!). I had chicken pox when I was 6 months old. My husband got the vaccine. Amelia really hasn't been sick before, so this is the first big threat.
