I see an increasing amount of hatred towards Islam, and feel as someone with Muslim friends, that I need to defend Islam just like I would defend my boyfriend's religion of Judaism or my own religion of Christianity.  I've noticed that specifically since the increase of refugees from commonly Islamic countries there has been a spike in anti-Islamic propaganda. For example, Trump's fear mongering of Islamic radicals entering the US. Or Australia's hysteria over Halal "taking over their country." No matter where you look in the world there is someone bitching about Islam. And it makes me wonder if it's due to the large number of Muslims fleeing the war torn countries like Syria. Similar to how Jewish immigrants were turned away from countries in the late 1930s trying to escape Hitler. Jews use to be considered the dirty, money grubbing, terrorist who would take over your economy and then crash it (according to Hitler). So does anyone else see the similarities that Jews and Muslims have. Because in actuality Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are basically the same thing with a few added verses and an extra prophet or two.
