Infant car seat?

I'm looking for a safe/reasonably priced car seat. I've looked into several and just can't decide which one will be the best. If money was no issue I think I would get the cybex Aton, and we might ultimately get this one since it has the safest features. And go....

We got the Chicco Key Fit 30s based on feedback from other twin mommies and Consumer Reports ratings. We didn't want to spend over $200/seat

Don't think about money here. Look online at safety ratings. My sis in law got a cheap one cuz it had the best safety ratings at the time and it never went up for recall.

Honestly you can't go wrong. They all have to pass the same safety ratings.

To me the chicco is bulky and takes up a lot of room in the back seat of cars. I have a premium large suv and had to move my seat up with the chicco in the back but I'm also 5'9". It also doesn't have a no rethread harness. It's a bit heavier too then other models.

The new maxi cosi 30 is nice and it has a rebound bar but lacks a no rethread harness.

The new britax bsafes are nice and they offer a no rethread harness.

I believe the safety 1st air infant car seats consistently get the highest safety ratings and aren't super expensive. However I've heard of a pilling issue.

Graco is always a nice route to go too... They don't have many bells and whistles though. Light, cheap, safe and some models have a no rethread harness.

We are going to go with the cybex Aton q because it's shorter and has extra safety features plus a no rethread harness.

Lucy list and carseatlady will both have good recommendations.

I want to get something that is slim and light and has a height weight limit. My son was in a forward facing car seat by the time he was one because he grew so fast! He was too long for rear facing ones his legs got squished up, and he weighted too much for it.
