Should we get our own place?

Well I am a college student I am 20 years old and I live in a college dorm with roommates and so does my boyfriend . We have both been having problems financially with dorming and   Even when we try to explain our situations to the school they don't do anything to help . We also keep to ourselves we don't have any friends here because we don't trust people here and it Sooooo much drama and we arent drama people. He kinda gets alone with his roommates but I don't get along with mines at all so I'm in his room all the time other then when I'm at work or class and I'm full time for both. But being as tho we are having problems with dorming I was thinking it would be better an cheaper if we got our own little place and use the money from our jobs and refund checks to pay for everything. I would never have wanted to move in my own place right now cause I'm still young and its a lot of responsibility, but I also believe it could be better for us so we don't have to deal with the stress here . I'm not sure what to do what do yall think ?

That's why my boyfriend and I did. 
We pay our rent (6 months at a time) and parking fee with our refund checks. We got a place with all utilities included so we don't have to worry about bills other than cable and Internet. It's a LOT cheaper than campus housing and although we still struggle, it's nothing compared to on campus.

Sounds okay to me if you're sure you'll be able to afford it. Would it be only you 2 or would some of his friends move in too? More people = cheaper rent
Maybe only sign a 6 month lease incase the relationship ends

My boyfriend and I are in the same situation as far as roommates and friends so we're getting our own place. My school requires first year students to live on campus if you're not from the area and if you live on campus you're required to have a meal plan. Housing and dining together costs us almost $10,000 a semester. Get your own place. It's much better in the long run.
