IVF and Birth Control

Looking for answers from anyone who previously did IVF or is currently in an IVF cycle.

I was scheduled for IVF this month, but my fertility specialist rescheduled me for September. Which meant I had to keep taking the birth control they prescribed (Alyacen 1/35) for an additional month with no break in the active pills.

As of today I've been bleeding consistently for 12 days. The nurse at my Doctors office described this as breakthrough bleeding and said it's totally normal. This doesn't feel normal!

Have any of you ladies experienced this before an IVF cycle?
