Waist trainers- worth all the hype?

Has anyone used a waist trainer while working out? Any before and after pics they'd like to share? I'm interested in buying one but not sure if it's worth all the hype

This is what I have and it's disgusting the amount of sweat that's on it when I finish working out. The people that are saying they're bad, are you talking about the corset style ones you wear all the time or this kind too? I don't see how this kind would be bad.

I have one , I only wear it when I run . No more than 30 minutes . & I always have a waist trimmer "sweat band" I love it . Doesn't squeeze you , just makes you sweat more .

My roommate has the one that makes you sweat and she only wears it to workout and it seems to be working well for her
