I don't get why some parents want to give their kids different last names then theirs. I just don't get it and it seems to raise a lot of questions with federal/government facilities processing paperwork. Can someone just pleas explain why this is a thing?? I understand if their dad isn't around and you don't want them to have their last name but changing it completely where it's not you or your husbands name is just odd to me
