Waking up baby during the day vs letting them sleep?

Deciding which one to do so my baby can sleep more hours during the night. But that has been so many different opinions about this , it's making it hard to decided. He takes about 3 long naps during the day and wakes up every 2 hours at night. Help?

I wake up my baby in the day. He usually wakes up once or twice a night. Sometimes I'm lucky and he sleeps 5-6 hours in a stretch through the night. That 'don't wake a sleeping baby' saying is dumb. I want to sleep at night, I can't nap all day.. My baby is almost 3 weeks old; we started our routine right away.

Limit naps to 2 hours. Been doing this since day 1 and he's an amazing sleeper 😊. Best advice I ever got! Helps babies sort out their days and nights and puts their long stretch at night where it should be.

Theirs a list I think it's a personal decision it's been a week and my son is perfectly fine. I use fine cereal so it's not too thick for him

I actually started my son rice cereal for bed time feedings and he slept six hours straight for me

I try not to swaddle my baby for her naps during the day so she will usually wake herself up on her own after about an hour.

It's nice to have her sleep longer during naps during the day so I can have more time to myself or get more done... But I don't think it's worth it to get up so much during the night.

Plus my dog will usually bark at something all day so that limits her day time naps also.

Try keeping them up in the day a little more and see if it helps!
