Membrane sweep @ 39 weeks?
My midwife hasn't checked me for dilation since 36+3. At that point I was 75% effaced and dilated to a 1. My next appt is Thursday and I will be 39+2. She didn't check me at my last appt 38+2. But I was measuring at 40 weeks. She's been saying my baby will be big, estimating over 9 lbs by my due date. If she doesn't offer to check me at my appt on Thursday, should I ask? & is there any way she would do a membrane sweep then also? I've been in a lot of pain lately and it's only a few days before my due date. Has anyone else's midwife done it for them before their due date?
