because your cycle isn't exactly a month long. if it was 30-31 days long then sure your period would be the same day every month (unless it's late or early) but an average cycle is 28 days and some are longer or shorter. so if you have your period every 28 it's not gonna be the same day every month, it'll be about 2-3 days earlier every month
