Sleeping

Sarah • Married and now mother to Samuel.
I have been trying to get my son to sleep on his back, and it has been a complete nightmare. We are moving from the rock and play as he had a strong startle reflex and spit up a lot. The first night he did fine, but it's been hell the last two nights. Last night I had to put him in his room and he cried for over 45 minutes before he wore himself out and slept (after being up all night). Tonight he's been fighting for three hours. I'm ready to go back to the rock and play. He's four months, but I'm wondering if he is one of those babies that need to make up their own minds as to when they need to sleep flat. He won't keep a pacifier in and can't seem to self sooth. I'm extremely frustrated.
