Can you flush tampons?

I'm so confused like i be scared to leave it in the trash at other ppl hz.

Don't flush! It's can really damage the pipes and that can cost a lot of money to fix. Just wrap up the tampon in a lot of toilet paper and no one will even know.

I flush it all the time, it's never messed up anything, my mom has flushed them her whole life, and my aunt and my grandma, I've never seen a sewer system get backed up because of it.

No to flushing tampons. If hair can clog a drain you have a good chance of a tampon clogging one. Some may never have a problem but ive had multiple people flush things down my toilet not knowing or forgetting we have well water/septic tank and if it breaks/cloggs we have to fork out a couple thousand to fix it. Its a good habbit to start wrapping it with toilet paper like you would a pad because you never no who could be paying out of pocket for someone else flushing things that arnt supposed to be flushed.
