Period days and pimples

I really need to ask this question. Is it normal to have your period for 2 or 3 days only? Could this be a reason for pimple breakout? It's actually four days if u ask me, but then i consider it three days because in the third day it totally stops like-nada! then comes the spotting on the fourth day. I kind of blame this for my pimple breakouts which by the way is totally annoying because it doesn't go away.
