Bleeding after sex- I'm 5 weeks 2 days

I found out last week that I'm pregnant. Called my ob and she scheduled my first appointment for September 14 so I'll be 8 weeks. She didn't even have me come in to verify pregnancy. Hubby and I decided to have sex last night. Nothing rough, he took it easy. This morning I woke up and I was bleeding. It wasn't heavy but it was more than a light bleed. It was red. But no pain or anything. I have on and off light cramping but I think that's my uterus stretching and growing. No severe cramps or anything so I was wondering, could I have irritated my cervix by having sex? Should I call my doctor and set up an appointment sooner? Or just wait it out and refrain from sex for a bit.
