Scary morning
So I got up to pee in the middle of the night. I'm not sure what made me think to look at the paper after wiping but even in the dark I could see there was a lot of blood. I turned the light on and it was browny blood (like old blood). I know there are lots of stories about ladies bleeding early on and you should only be worried if bright red. I tried to go back to sleep.
In the morning I went to the toilet again and same thing loads of brown blood on paper (I could see it had dripped in the bowl too).
I decided to call the non-emergency national hospital number (for those in UK, the 111 service). Nurse sounded worried and said she'd had the out of hours GP for my practice call me back within 2 hours. Got a call back within an hour and GP said to go to A&E as I was having slight cramps. Lucky I got there before the early pregnancy unit closed so what able to have an internal ultrasound.
Everything looks ok DR said. I know they say that if it's brown blood it's generally ok but it still a scary as hell situation when you are in it. I'm 7w tomorrow. I hope all you August ladies are doing ok! Oh and for those in the UK, I'm super impressed with the 111 service! X
