Contractions stopping then starting again the next day??

Question

Anyone else have contractions start and then they stop after sleeping or something similar?? I started having intense contractions last night, 10-15 min apart and expected them to progress. I had them through the night, couldn't sleep, but once I got some sleep and woke up today I haven't had many contractions if any at all. I'm 39 + 4 and a FTM.

I have had this for like a week. I thought for sure I was going into active labor like three times and then it all just fizzled. My doctor told me something yesterday that really helped: be patient with yourself. Your body is doing a big job and you're doing really good.

I had this go on for about 4 days before I went into active labor. It sucks and it can go on for awhile but it does it's job eventually. You just have to wait it out.

Been like that since Friday,  40+5 weeks now. Thought I was in active labor yesterday as contractions were every 5mins for 2 hours then they slowed down again

Yes! I've been having false alarms for a week. I'm 39 weeks 1 day

I had the same thing happen to me, it's extremely frustrating but the nurses have told me that it's normal 😒

Same boat here! Contractions on and off for the past 36 hours. They seem to get close together and intense then will relax so the doctor doesn't want me to come in. Soooo frustrated but just hoping this means when I go in to be induced on Sunday things will move quickly.

Ugh!! I have been having contractions on and off for the past two days. I have had back pain too and my daughter is moving no stop! I'm ready to get this show on the road 
My midwife says it could mean labor is corner or a ways off. So basically no real answer

I had that for probably 2 and a half weeks prior to delivery. My girl was sunny side up and refused to turn (delivered her that way too) so my labor kept starting and stopping. Even while I was being induced and hooked to pitocin my contractions never became regular. Even while I was pushing her out they weren't lol
I really assumed the contractions that I had for weeks before being induced weren't real... until I was induced and they were the exact same up until she started dropping and then it was only in my back and excrutiating. But the contractions were all real.
