Dilating??

Question

I found out at my 35 week appointment that I am 1cm dilated.. But,I'm a first time mom. He is head down.. I was just wondering if that's normal? To dilate so early for your first baby? And if so,how long did it take until you were going to have your little one??

I'm also a FTM and I was 35 weeks last week and was 2cm dilated and also 75% effaced! I go tomorrow hopefully I've progressed. My doctor says I won't make it to due date!

With my first i was 4cm and 70% thinned out for 4 weeks before my due date and she still came late.

Totally normal. I was dilated to a 3 and went 5 days over due

My baby girl is head down first too I don't know if she is dialted I'm 35 weeks & 5 days

So exciting I found out today that I am 1 1/2 meters dialated.normal no worries.  We are almost there. Hang in there and congrats.

I'm a first timer and was dilated 1-2 cm at 34 weeks.  My OB actually put me on bed rest until 36 weeks.  I'm now 38 + 2 and am 4 cm and 80% effaced. Have been at that since 37 weeks and still trucking along.  We shall see!

I'm a ftm and at my 37 week appointment yesterday I'm only 1 cm dialated. But being induced in 9 days.

I was 1 cm dilated at 35 weeks with my first. She didn't end up coming till 40 weeks 1 day and that's only because I was induced lol so it's totally normal.

I was 1cm last week, now around 2and a half at 36 weeks! FTM also, but I have been in pre-labor for a few weeks now!

I found the same thing out at 35 weeks and am now 37.5 and will find out on Monday if I've progressed any further. I'm really hoping things are moving along!
