My Breast Feeding, Now Formula, Journey

I want to tell you, it's okay. You're doing great. You're an amazing mother.
I started my baby girl on formula at 4 weeks. It broke my heart. She was still somewhat jaundice & per her pediatrician, needed to be fed every 2 hours. She was also not gaining weight, miserable from her tongue tie, small mouth & poor latch & I was slowly losing my mind.
I breastfed for 4 full weeks. I pumped as much as I could in between trying to feed her & build my supply. But it was all making me crazy. I wasn't sleeping. I was heartsick over all of it & it wasn't good for me, my husband or my baby.
In the end, you do the best you can. My best was 4 weeks. She is healthy now (other than being a colic scream queen!), her jaundice is cleared, she is up almost 3 full lbs since birth, & her mom is happy.  Fed is best in my book.
This wasn't my plan. But it is my story now. & if you're going through something similar, I just wanted to tell you that you're not alone, but that you're still an amazing mother & you're doing great.
