So what is the proper etiquette for having a baby shower ?? No one has offered to throw me a baby shower. So my fiancee and I are throwing one ourselves! People look at me weird and ask why we are throwing it ourselves and telling us we have shitty family and friends. Should we throw our own ? Is it tacky to throw a baby shower for yourself ? Or am I suppose to ask someone to do it for me ? I feel tacky asking someone to throw me a party , I would hope they would volunteer themselves if they wanted to do something nice for me. I just want to get family and friends together and let all the kids play before our little one arrives. It's going to be at a park so kids won't be bored sitting in a room for a couple hours. Just don't know what the proper way on having a baby shower. It makes me upset no one wants to throw me a baby shower. This is my first child and I want to be able to have fun and celebrate with everyone. Just seeing what other people think.
