Poison ivy... Help!

My hubby and I went backpacking last weekend because the weather was so nice. The hike was much more difficult than usual, but great. Over the last 3 days though I have been miserable. More and more patches of poison ivy have been popping up. My whole left breast, a large patch on my belly, both arms, a huge patch on my back, and to top it off, it's on my face! I always have bad reactions so my doctor would give me a steriod shot, but obviously that's not an option this time. Does anyone have any ideas to make it better??? I am going crazy!!!
