A little advice? He's away at basic training!

My boyfriend and i are very serious but he just went away to basic training for 5 months and I'm freaking out. I don't know what to do. does anybody know what to do to help me pass the time? I went from spending every day with him to now going to work and coming home and not knowing what to do with my time.

Been there girl!! Luckily he's getting out this month 👏👏👏 but he will be gone again for his new job 😭 anyways stay busy with friends or family. Don't think about it too much since that's what will drive you crazy!! I wrote my husband who was then my boyfriend everyday just because I was lonely and of course wanted to tell him about my day. That seemed to help a lot. I wish I could say it gets easier, but it honestly doesn't. You just have to make the best out of it.

Reach out to your girlfriends. It's important to still go out and have fun. Also pick up a hobby like reading, quilting/sewing, doing puzzles. Anything to keep your mind off of it.

The first two weeks and the last two weeks are the hardest, but you'll adjust.

Try to get into a routine and sprinkle some self care into every day: whether it's a manicure, trips to the gym, a luxurious bubble bath, an ice cream cone from your favorite dessert place - intentionally schedule something into every single day that you can look forward to. It helps the time pass.

My husband and I spent every day together and then when he left for boot that was the first time we were apart. It was so hard and I was so sad but I just kept myself busy and wrote him as often as possible. Keeping busy helped a lot. I also found a forum for military so and that helped reading and talking in there. It's amazing now because that was so long ago and I kept all the letters and it's so nice to read now.

This is a crucial time for you! Get to know and love yourself. Do things YOU wanna do. Whether it's get the nails done, a new hair cut, take up yoga, etc. there's an infinite amount of things to do on Pinterest as well. This is the time to spend it with the girls and keep yourself busy so you don't feel that nawing feeling at night. He loves you and will always be there. You have to just develop yourself in the meantime !

make a sweet picture book of you and him so while he's gone you will be looking at him. And when he comes home give him the picture book to take with him next trip. Hugs♡
