My LO is very interested in looking at her hands and will hold things if I present them to her, but she doesn't explore things on her own that much.  It's almost as if she is timid maybe?  I don't know.  She finally worked up the courage to grab her toys that hang from her carrier.  But for example I left her in her high chair with the rest of her banana purée I was feeding her and the spoon sticking out and went to put away the dishes to see if she'd grab them and she just sat there.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Most 6 month olds are trying to grab everything!  Mine is perfectly content sitting there.   I'm certainly going to bring this up to our pediatrician next week but looking for others opinions as well.
