Is it only me

I slept in a tampon last night. When I go up it was completely white, just incase since my 3rd day is heavy I put another one in. I took it out during my lunch break and it was completely white again. So I didn't bother putting another in since it was a waste. About an hour later I had completely ruined a pair of panties! Is this just me or does it happen to anyone else.
