I really like Mali but wasn't sure if he will hate me later for it because it could be considered a little feminine sounding...I have also seen Kai...what do you all think? Any other nicknames that might work better?

We're dealing with this too!! Our son's name is Mordecai and I've been shortening it to Kai. I like the sound of it and it's Hawaiian for ocean :) my hubby keeps calling him Mordy 😕

I was thinking Kai as well. Were having this "problem" also. My grandma keeps asking what we call Malachi for short and I keep telling her I dont know yet, but im sure when he is out he will get a nickname based on his personality lol. Good luck hope you find something you like to call him.
