My son is 4mo and weighs 20lbs. He's in 12mo clothes and he is a very big baby. He was in a bouncer but now he's so big that when he stretches he arches his back and the bouncer almost flipped one time. So I went out and bought him an exerciser. While he has good neck control we use rolled towels to support his body further and he's in it supervised and my Peditrician thought it would be a good idea to get his legs and neck muscles stronger. My MIL went nuts. She kept telling me that he needs to be in the bouncer because he is a little baby even though he is huge and keeps trying to put him in the bouncer. The issue is that she'll put him somewhere like the table or the floor while in the bouncer then will leave to go do something! She wont listen to me when I tell her it's dangerous and she keeps telling me she knows how to take care of babies because she has 3 sons and 4 grandkids. And when we try to get rid of it she just goes out and gets a new one. I don't want to leave her with my LO unsupervised. Im at a loss.
