How do y'all do it???

Question

You mamas out there that have older children and are pregnant and work a job, how do you do it?? I have no family around to help me out and really need to get a job. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and sick. I feel like it going to impossible. My bf wants me to work but I don't know how I can. Let me in on some tips. :)

The mothers I know who have been miracle workers either have someone to help during the time they work, daycare, or generally work from home so they can do both. Some jobs will allow you to work remotely understanding that you have to care for your child at the same time. If you plan to get a job, I would strongly suggest starting to look sooner in your pregnancy besides later on so that you can qualify for maternity leave if you are in the USA. Certain states require you to be with a company for a hiring period which could be 3-6 months before you are legally able to request a leave of absence. I've had to look this up for MA since I just recently got a full time job where my employer is going to work with me to make sure I can recoup and spend time with my child but I don't qualify for maternity leave necessarily since I won't make the three month period. I also don't have to worry about whose taking care of my child since my fiancé is going to be a stay at home dad for now and my mom wants to be a full time sitter.
