Pregnant?

Never post before. I hope it's not TMI. My period was about 2 days later than normal this month. Before I started what i thought was my period. I had a brown discharge (never had that before my period.) Of course i looked things on the internet and there were so many things that it could have been. Lasted about 2 days then all of a sudden the discharge turned red and was heavy. Naturally i though "oh ok just a little off on my period days." Still took a test but it was negative. The flow lasted one day. Took another test. Negative. Usually i have a heavy constant flow for 7 days...idk what's going on. Been trying to get pregnant for almost a year now. Don't want to keep spending money on tests ans getting disappointed. And don't want to see a Dr just yet bc my insurance wont kick in for another couple of months. Anyone have any ideas?
