Baby shower

So I'm 22 weeks due in late December. I have a conundrum about my baby shower. I don't know who is going to have one for me. Is it totally out of the ordinary to have one yourself? My husbands sister and I aren't really that close and my sister lives in Hawaii so she won't be able to make it back for a shower regardless. None of my friends are married or even serious in their relationships so I know they wouldn't put one together for me. Any ideas on not feeling awkward throwing your own baby shower?
