Crib bedding set?

Okay I am a first time mommy to be and we are 27 weeks and getting down to the last few nursery details. I'm just trying to figure out if really there is a point to getting a crib bedding set? We got a kinda simple set that I don't like that much it came with one sheet, quilt, diaper stacker, and a dust ruffle. I am thinking of selling it and getting a different set but honestly I don't see the point. I know that I need crib sheets but really the other stuff doesn't seem useful. Would love some opinions.

I just got the skirt and quilt from pottery barn. Then I got a few matching sheets off amazon.

It's up to you but we just use fitted sheets and a sleep sack. Waiting until a year and a half to introduce a loose blanket and pillow.

I bought a small set.. I only really use the fitted sheets and skirts. I also got the mattress protector. I like the quilt though and I use it on the couch or my bed to ly baby down so if he spits up or blows out a diaper I have that as protection from the furniture. Easier to each the blanket then the couch cushion.

I bought just sheets and then found a bed skirt to match what I did in the bedroom because I used under the bed as storage with large totes. I didn't actually buy a set until mine got to be a toddler. And I will be doing the same with this one. You don't want a lot in the crib so I just used a recieving blanket to wrap them and that worked great

I bought a whole set and paid a lot for it but now I regret it. I wish I had only bought a couple of shits and a skirt because the rest of the stuff I have no use for.

Make sure you have at least three crib sheets. Everything else is unnecessary. I buy flat disposable mattress liners and put them under the sheet to protect the mattress.

I bought my son's set from pottery barn. And i LOVE it. I use the skirt and sheets. And the quilt is monogrammed so its more of a sentimental thing for me. Because my crib blanket was always my baby blanket when i was little. My mom kept all of ours. But to each their own. I will be doing the same for my second son. But i am a sentimental person.
