Gripe water (sorry, long post)

I got this as a baby shower gift. The last almost week my daughter has become very gassy. I think it's cause I have a fast letdown so she chugs when breastfeeding. She had an exceptionally bad night a few days ago, she was up for almost over 2 hours very upset. But Eventually she finally went to sleep. So the next night she was already showing signs of being gassy and starting to get fussy so I gave her gripe water. The bottle says to not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours, to refrigerate after opening and use within 4 weeks of opening. Am I really expected to use the whole bottle whithin that time frame? Should I be giving it to her more often since she's still frequently gassy?
