Drinking alcohol before finding out you were pregnant?

Anyone else drink alcoholic beverages before finding out you were pregnant? I just found out beginning of this week that I may be 4-5 weeks pregnant, and I've been a little worried because I had at least 1-3 drinks every week for the past 5 weeks 😰....

I had a LOT to drink the weekend before I found out I'm pregnant. I talked about it with my dr, and she said up until 6 weeks it's an "all, or nothing" situation. So if the alcohol affected the egg, then I wouldn't be pregnant. Made me feel better

I found out wednesday im 4 weeks and last saturday I had too many for my own good. Doc says the placenta doesnt supply anythinf to the baby yet so we should be fine!

I have too, I'm 5 weeks today. I'm definitely going to ask the Dr about it. My first appointment is 9/28. I'm no Dr, but I've read up until about this point, baby is getting nourishment from the yolk sac of your egg & not your bloodstream. This is around the time where the placenta will begin to form & then baby will be connected with your bloodstream. Sooo that gave me a little reassurance.

I'm not a doctor, but I'd say since the baby isn't even attached to you at this point(placenta) you're okay. A lot of  women don't even find out they're pregnant until 6 weeks, and most had been drinking up to that point anyways. Unless you we're drinking handles of vodka daily, you're probably fine!

As someone who has been ttc for over a year - I finally gave up on not drinking while waiting. I drank a good few times before we found out 😩 I was so nervous, but EVERYONE I've spoken to said they drank before they found out also, and their babies are great! Don't add this to your list of worries, Mama! Everything is gonna be alright 💕💕
