Ameda purely yours?

I'm looking into which breast pumps my insurance covers, and Ameda purely yours is one. There are a few medelas too, but I've read some dicey reviews in them lately.  Anyone with Ameda experiences that could help sway my decision?

I had the ameda and hated it. The medela was much better, and I bought it out of pocket. I'm convinced the ameda destroyed my supply.

Even better -- if the spectra 1 or 2 are an option, they are currently the best ones on the market.

I had a medela with my first. With my second I got this pump through my insurance and hated it. I ended up not producing but a few days anyways, but in the time I used it, it was painful! It pulled at one side more than the other and caused bleeding. I'll never use anything other than medela again.

I originally started out with the Ameda Purely Yours from my insurance. For me, it was painful and uncomfortable no matter what setting I had it on. I never really got much milk out of it either. I ended up paying out of pocket for the Spectra S2. Hands down amazing!

I had the ameda with my first and hated it 😞 I really struggled with pumping. Even when I could feel that I was full, I'd get hardly anything out of the pump - or it would take light years. I felt like I was ALWAYS pumping.

It easily could have been just me, It has good reviews usually, but my experience wasn't too great. I got a medela through my insurance this time around.

I don't have experience with other pumps aside from ameda but I will say that the machine is kind of loud. But I don't know if that's the same with other brands.

Iam totally satisfied with ameda... I pump four to five times a day and it works great...
