Doctor only wanting me to go to 36 weeks? Pregnant with mono/di boys. Normal?

Hi lovelies,

I go in for an ultrasound and consult every 2 weeks. Yesterday at my 16 week my mutiples doctor told me she wants to get the babies out at 36 weeks? Also most likely c section? I'm not worried about c section as she said the benefits out weigh the risks with mono/di is this correct? And also is 36 weeks normal? FTM and I just feel a little worried about everything atm.. Haha xx

Same here with mono/di - my scheduled c is at 36+4.... If I make it there. They told me 37 max for this type of twin preg.

I'm 35w1d with MonoDi boys. My OB has been saying 36-37weeks the whole pregnancy. We have tentatively scheduled induction for 36w6d with the hopes I go into labour on my own before then. OB would like us to make it to 36w for sure.

I'm pregnant with mono/di twins and from the beginning of my pregnancy my doctor has also said 36 weeks or the farthest is 37. Anything after 37 is a big NO. I'm currently 33 weeks

I don't understand this...my twins are mono/di and my doctor has said nothing about delivering early, or that I would have to have a c-section.

I'm still waiting to hear when mine will be. At my 13 week check the high risk doc came in after the ultrasound to explain we were having mo/di twins and that if all went well they like to see delivery around 38 weeks. With the way I feel now at 26w i so dont want to go to 38 weeks.

I am hoping for 36-37w. Hopefully my doctor willmaybe schedule sometjing at my 28w check just to get it on the calendar!

I'm pregnant with Di/Di twins and so far the goal is schedule for a c/s at 36w still a little preterm but way more mature than anything earlier my daughter was born at 35w 5-5 perfectly healthy and no complications. You will be fine. Good luck I have 4 more weeks left and I'm so ready.

I had mono/di boys at 36.6 by c section. I was scheduled to have a section on 37.1 but started to develop toxemia so they took them a couple days early. They didn't want me going past 37 as it is more stressful on the babies and placenta. Good luck :)

I am only 11 weeks so a lot can change. My dr is having me start a baby aspirin at 12 weeks. We have already discussed that my doctor, as well as I,  would like to see me go to at least 38 weeks as long as everyone is progressing appropriately. She has not mention sooner. We will be doing a repeat csection as I feel the risks outweigh anything else I feel.

Ladies yes this is completely normal, I am having my c-section at exactly 37 weeks and the only reason they are waiting until 37 and not doing it at 36 weeks is because I have been blessed with a very healthy pregnancy with zero complications with my mono/di twin boys.But up to 32 weeks my csection was planned for 36 weeks and then pushed to 37. My doctor also from the get go said a Csection is the best way to go as inducing labor can put the twins in too much stress and I would most likely push one out and then have to have an emergency csection for the other twin. So to avoid all that it's best to have a csection from the get go.'
