I had a boy and we decided in May that we would date after summer was over. This was because we both travelled over the summer so we didn't want to start anything and have to do long distance. We said we'd wait for each other and not hook up with anyone else over the summer. I acted like a goddamn nun all summer long only to come back and find out that halfway through he got a girlfriend!!!! I feel like my time was wasted, and I'm hurt. I'm so done with boys. I guess the question is, how am I always falling for assholes like this??? How do I protect myself in the future?
