Umbilical hernia surgery @14 weeks pregnant!

Tiffany • Married with 3 kids 1 step and ttc. Had 2 ectopics within the last 2 yrs due to my right blocked tube. I'm not giving up.
Hi im 14 weeks pregnant and I went in to the e.r. On tuesday with severe pain from hernia on belly button. They couldn't do a cat scan because of the baby so they did U/S instead. Found that I had bile/intestine coming through the whole in my stomach. This needed to be fixed right away it could've been fatal for the both of us. After evaluating me immediately the surgeon said I had to have the surgery. My intestine wasnt getting any blood flow and it had turned brown! This all happened within a few hours of me being admitted. I was nervous because they told me I was gonna be put to sleep which wouldve not been good for baby. I called on a higher power as I was alone in my room waiting. When I got to operating room the anesthesiologist gave me an option for a spinal instead and he said it was much safer for baby. So as I waited for them to numb me I was sitting there thinkin bout my baby. Hoping that everything would be ok. The surgery took about 45 min to an hour and I was awake the whole time. I went to recovery afterwards and the surgery was good. The baby is good im back at home since yesterday but very very sore. Moving slow but I'm moving. I am thankful and grateful that everything went well
